Those were my daughter's words — and honestly, I had no idea if I could actually do it. I'm a cloud engineer with 14 years in enterprise IT, but building a mobile app from scratch, wiring up a medical device API, and shipping it to the App Store? That's a completely different world.
But she has Type 1 Diabetes. If you're a T1D parent, you already know — the 3 AM alarms, the constant number-watching, the pit in your stomach when your kid is at school or a friend's house. There are great tools out there that share the number, but the number alone doesn't tell you how your kid is feeling, who's watching, or whether anyone else in the family even knows what's going on. That's the gap.
